Toned Franklin Half Dollars

I think that I have found my new coin collecting obsession – collecting toned Franklin half dollars.  I think that Franklin half dollars are really going to appreciate in value in the next few years.

Franklin half dollar prices remain low today which make them a great silver coin to collect.  you can pick many Franklin halves up for a small premium over their spot silver price.

But, for me, I really want to collect toned Franklin half dollars.  I am not so interested in collecting the series, but I do want to find beautiful toned coins and key date Franklin half dollars.

Here are some beautiful toned Franklin half dollars for sale on ebay.

I have a few Franklins that have toned from proof sets (1960-1963) – one has a pinkish toning on half of it, the other is a redish orange.

Toned Franklins are quite nice, that’s for sure :)
