The first roll sets that I purchased from the US Mint were the Jefferson nickel Westward Journey roll sets. These Westward Journey mint rolls were great sellers for the US Mint. I can only imagine the amount of collectors that will buy the 2009 Lincoln penny rolls.

I really like these mint roll sets. I have a very difficult time getting uncirculated rolls of coins from my bank. These US Mint roll sets allow me to make sure that I get examples of these special coins.

There has been a lot of coin collecting news this week. The first story that I would like to highlight is a story from Stella Coin News, Mike Ellis is running for a position on the ANA Board of Governors. This is an article written by Mike Ellis explaining why he is running. I look forward to reading his blog that he is soon launching.

The topic that is being discussed the most right now be numismatists is the new United State Mint pricing rules for the US Mint gold coins and platinum coins. Here are some great articles discussing this new coin pricing policy -

US Mint Gold Coin Price List

Pricing Strategy Article by Coin Collecting News

U.S. Mint Discloses UHR Saint-Gaudens Price and Announces New Pricing Policy

US Mint Issues Press Release on New Pricing Strategy

The United States Mint has started to sell native american dollar coin rolls. World Numismatic News has a good article about the Native American Dollar Rolls. Are you looking forward to these new native american coins?

There is an exciting new coin collecting website launched this week by Michael Zielinski. Many of you know Michael from his Mint News Blog. Now he has launched Clickcoins.com. Click coins is a great homepage for any coin collector. It lists the latest coin collecting news and coin collecting articles from the best coin collecting sites on the Internet. I am happy that Coinblogger has been listed on Michael’s site. I encourage you all to check it out.
