2009 Lincoln Penny Rolls

The United States Mint just announced that it will sell 2009 Lincoln Penny Rolls. Beginning on March 23, 2009, the US Mint will start to sell the 2009 Lincoln Cent Birthplace Roll Set. I assume that these 2009 Lincoln Penny roll sets will include one roll of Philadelphia lincoln birthplace cents and one roll of Denver lincoln birthplace cents.

The first roll sets that I purchased from the US Mint were the Jefferson nickel Westward Journey roll sets. These Westward Journey mint rolls were great sellers for the US Mint. I can only imagine the amount of collectors that will buy the 2009 Lincoln penny rolls.

I really like these mint roll sets. I have a very difficult time getting uncirculated rolls of coins from my bank. These US Mint roll sets allow me to make sure that I get examples of these special coins.

2009 Presidential Proof Sets Available February 10

The United States Mint today announced that the 2009 Presidential Proof Sets will be available on February 10, 2009. On this date at 12 noon Eastern Time you can order your 2009 Presidential Proof Sets straight from the US Mint.

This initial price for the Presidential $1 Coin Proof set is $14.95. The 2009 proof set contains the One Dollar President Coins honoring William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, James K. Polk and Zachary Taylor. The reverse of each Presidential One Dollar Coin has the Statue of Liberty on it.

If you are into collecting the Presidential $1 coins, buying the proof sets is a great way to collect them. For only $14.95, you get all of the 2009 Presidential coins in great proof coins. So, mark you calendars for February 10 to buy the 2009 Presidential Proof Set.

There has been a lot of coin collecting news this week. The first story that I would like to highlight is a story from Stella Coin News, Mike Ellis is running for a position on the ANA Board of Governors. I have searched through ebay’s recent completed sales for the 2008 American Legacy Collection. It seems like they are selling between $120 and $140. Some of the Buy It Now sales were as high as $160.

If you are looking to buy a 2008 mint proof coin set, the 2008 United States Mint American Legacy Collection is a great proof set. I like being able to buy the 2008 Bald Eagle Silver Dollar with the other coins.
